Colorado Adventure Elopement Photographer
Two words come to mind when I think of Colorado and that would be "insanely beautiful" I am envious of whoever gets to call this state home considering Rocky Mountain National Park is right out side your door step. Although this wasn't my first time here it was my first time visiting when it wasn't freezing cold and oh my goodness the weather was amazing!!! I don't think I sweat once my whole trip which was incredible considering here in Florida I can't even let my dog out at night to go to the bathroom without sweating.
ANYWAYS, this beautiful state is know for its stunning views and I can totally see why. If you are planning an adventure elopement and unsure of where to go you should consider making Colorado a top choice. Not only are there hundreds (maybe thousands, idk?) of hikes to choose from around the whole state, you can also pretty much guarantee that wherever you choose to say "I do" will be drop dead gorgeous. Seriously though if you haven't been you NEED to check it out. If you need location suggestions let me know!
And if the mountains aren't really your thing check out Great Sand Dunes National Park. These endless sand dunes will have you feeling like you've just eloped in the Moroccan desert. Although I wasn't able to make it there this trip it is definitly on the agenda for next time.
So the reason for the trip to Colorado was actually not for work, just pure enjoyment. My mom and I planned this trip with the whole focus being around the Shakey Graves concert at Red Rocks. Simply put it was AMAZING. The next day we drove up to Rocky Mountain National Park for some hiking. For the views being as beautiful as they were the hike was actually pretty easy and the light rain scared away any crowds which is always a bonus.
It was my moms first time visiting Colorado and despite getting over a nasty cold she was able to make the most of her trip and I am so happy I got to experience this trip with her. We got matching tattoos, ate all the yummy vegan food we could find, and got to cross seeing a show at Red Rocks off of our "bucket list".
My next post will be about horseback riding in Colorado Springs so look out for that! Until then enjoy some of my favorites from our outing to Rocky Mountain National Park!
