Oh man, I am not even sure where to begin with this session. My heart is so full looking at these photos knowing that I was apart of documenting a big life moment for these two. Now I never thought I would be one to photograph a maternity session but when Kaitlin reached out to me saying I want photos of me pregnant but I want them to just be like any other session you do I instantly knew “ok this could work”
I was still hesitant leading up to it not because I wasn’t confident in my ability to take good photos but just because it was a bit out of my comfort zone. But I am so glad I did this! I don’t know if there will be more lifestyle maternity type sessions in my future but if they are anything like Alex and Kaitlin’s session you can count me in.
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the decor in this house, from their coffee bar to their handmade furniture it truly is boho with a mid century twist. The whole session I couldn’t stop saying how cute their entire house was. Also I will never stop saying that in home sessions are the best because there is so many elements of a couples personality incorporated into. Alex and Kaitlin’s home truly reflected them, their walls were full of photos from their adventures and their decor was collected from their travels. Oh and of course when dogs are included it makes everything 100x cuter. Milo is there little rescue dog who is basically their first child and totally knows how to pose for the camera lol.
Kaitlin and Alex are expecting a baby boy sometime in early October and all I gotta say is little Luca is going to be deeply loved. Congrats to these two for celebrating love and a new life!
