Desert Sand Dunes Adventure Session With Priscilla + Anthony | Pensacola Wedding + Engagement Photographer
Priscilla and Anthony are the cutest couple from Virginia who have know each other since they were really young and I'm talking like elementary school young. How adorable is that? They have been married for almost a year now and have a cute pup named Patriot. Anthony's career in the Navy moved them both to Pensacola, FL and they've been doing life together here since last June. I met Priscilla through a Facebook group for Pensacola wedding photographers and was so thrilled when she reached out to me about shooting an adventure session.
So, my biggest fear is cheesy beach pictures and being from Florida I see them all the time. Since I just got back from shooting adventure sessions and elopements in Yosemite I was scared I wasn't going to be happy with my results from this session(not the case). I found this location we shot at from going to the dog beach with Dylan and Atlas. We explored around a bit and it was so crazy to me that these dunes had no hotels or condos around. It was like we had the sand dunes all to ourselves. I also want to point out I know a lot of sand dunes in Florida are protected, these dunes we were on had trails to lead out to the water. We stayed on the trails the whole time not disrupting untouched dunes! It may not look like there way foot prints everywhere but it was an extremely windy day so most of the dunes had been blown free of foot prints.
The day we shot this adventure session it was SO windy. Dylan came home from work and said "uh are you sure your going to shoot today?" Of course I said yes I was stoked the wind was strong you'll see why in the photos below. So Dylan, Atlas, and I got to the spot a little early so Atlas could run around a bit. I texted Priscilla saying I hope your ready for this crazy wind and they handled it like champs! We climbed all over the dunes and I walked away with a TON of sand in my hair but hey the photos turned out amazing!!! That golden hour glow sure is magical in the sunshine state. Enjoy the photos let me know what you think below!
Thanks for braving the wind Priscilla and Anthony! Next time you'll have to bring Patriot along!
